What Is Presentation?
There are various ways to communicate ideas to others, but a presentation involves a human aspect because the ideas are presented by a presenter. The personality of the presenter has an impact on the presentation’s quality. The audience and the presenter have an immediate engagement, and questions and responses can be exchanged. To give an excellent presentation, the presenter must be prepared and aware, have an engaging personality, and have a thorough understanding of the issue and subject.
A presentation can be made for a small group of individuals or for a bigger audience. It could be shown in a room or transmitted across a large area via media and the internet. Presentations can be utilized in a variety of settings, including education, business, marketing, research, and social and cultural events. Presentations can be used everywhere there is a requirement for exchanging ideas or educating about a concept.
Two types of presentations;
Whilst we are going to cover both, as an entrepreneur, it is imperative that you are able to first present professionally on the paper. Your future may depend on first delivering a business plan to a bank manager before expanding a business and presenting it to the world.
Planning: This comprises information such as the date and location of the presentation, as well as whether the presentation is formal and requires a formal setting or is informal. The kind and size of the audience, the tools you’ll need, and the type of audience participation you’re hoping for.
Structure: It’s crucial to pay attention to the content and how it’s conveyed to the audience. As a result, to give content that is engaging and absorbing for the audience, a presenter must have a good grasp of what they desire. Make sure your information is both informative and intriguing. Give the audience only as much information as they can take in in one sitting. Don’t cram too much in.
Content: Make sure the presentation begins with an engaging introduction. Along with the introduction, the presentation should be well-structured and have a body, summary, and conclusion. The material should be organized and arranged in a sensible manner. The tempo should be relaxed and enjoyable. Keep the thread going and don’t stray too far from the original point.
Whether you are presenting to either type, one still needs to use those three points, Planning, structure and content.

Personal opinion is the fastest way to disengage a reader. The best way to retain a reader’s interest is to quote several others to make the argument/point, the 7 essential tips;
1. Use the power of storytelling (yours or quotes from others)
2. Start by identifying the authoritative character (to increase credibility)
3. Focus on actions (what are the progressive results?)
4. Be honest. (comparison of statements)
5. Passionate about the topic. … (research what others say?)
6. Don’t be too creative in giving your opinion. … (quote what others say?)
7. Don’t tell the reader what to do. (Only what others are saying)
This will be a helpful advantage when you learn content writing further on in this training.
Our work is the presentation of our capabilities – Edward Gibbon
REMEMBER, FIRST KNOW HOW TO PRESENT YOUR OWN WORK ON PAPER OR THE ELECTRONIC FORMAT, THEN CONCENTRATE ON HOW TO DELIVER A PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE TO AN AUDIENCE, i.e. PowePoint presentation, lecture, seminar etc.
Organise your actual work and then store it in an organised manner and fill away with the intention to retrieve it in a given moment easily. This is just as important and can be challenging more so in electronic file format because of the many subject and topics.
