Power of Social Media (SM)

Social media began as a way to connect with friends and family, but it was quickly adopted by businesses looking to reach out to customers through a popular new communication tool. The ability to connect and share information with everyone on the planet, or with a large number of people at once, is the power of social media.
Social media allows your business to quickly and easily respond to customer comments, questions and concerns and consumers to instantaneously receive help. Moreover, by answering consumers’ needs in public, you can show the quality of your service and a certain level of transparency.
71 % of consumers who receive a quick response on social media are more likely to recommend the brand to other people, according to Forbes.
Because of its fluid nature, social media is an ideal platform for storytelling, product debuts, and new initiatives. As we get closer to a new e-commerce era, it’s evident that social media marketing is no longer merely an option; it’s now a business-critical activity.
Social media platforms have fast become the backbone of corporate operations, and they’re critical for forging real connections with customers and fostering long-term brand loyalty. Not to mention the fact that, when done correctly, they can increase online sales.
Your business may use social media channels to get real-time data about your audience’s preferences and test new visuals to improve pictures and videos across marketing and e-commerce contact points. The smartest businesses will continue to invest in social media platforms to inform their visual strategy, thereby maximizing online income and long-term business success.
Social media allows you to monitor user comments, gain valuable insights into your customers’ behavior, measure conversions based on your promoted posts, see what content attracts your audience, which content generates the most interest, and more.
Every business wants to know how their customers behave and what they are interested in.
If you are looking to have your own business in the future or to be an expert social media, you must marry yourself with the concept of mastering ‘Content marketing’ and ‘social media’ and everything else digital marketing has to offer
The key to sell is in the contents, including adverts, to entice the user /observer to react to the marketing.
With social marketing, pay attention to the two basic selling formats:
1. Advert to sell
2. Leading into a Funnel
The power of Social media Marketing in using the Social media platforms to advertise and sell directly without a website and traditional marketing;
1. Leaflets/magazines/billboard
2. T.V/Radio media marketing
3. Online marketing (internet/websites)
PRINCIPLES OF A FUNNEL
A marketing funnel is a visual representation of the path your clients or customers travel from the start to the finish of a particular engagement with you. The goal of the illustrated funnel is to demonstrate how you can convert an audience into leads, then convert those leads into conversions, and then convert those conversions into paying customers.
When we focus the public in a particular direction on SM platforms, we are ultimately leading them into what we call a funnel. Once we create an engaging sentence or quote, we are able to lead them towards the funnel.
The question is how long can we engage with them on SM when we are not selling anything? If we are selling, the end result is a sale. When we are not selling on SM platforms the results are; likes, shares, followers’, engagements, conversations, interactions, comments and re-posts.
